About Hawaii TV Bowling - Showcasing Hawaii's bowlers since 1990

Matches are shown one week after the tournament on Saturdays, 4PM on KWHE-TV14
Filming usually starts around 1:00PM and spectators are encouraged to come.

Tournament fee: $70.00 (Prepay) $75.00 (Walk-in)
Check-in: 8:00AM
Practice: 8:30AM
Competition begins: 9:00AM
Tournament is open to all USBC members.

Format - singles events (see entry forms for detailed information)

Bowlers bowl three games qualifying moving to a different lane after each game. After the third game, the top 20 bowlers compete in a single elimination head-to-head game on a random draw. The winners of the first elimination compete against each other in another random draw elimination game. The 5 winners compete on TV in stepladder style single elimination matches (ie: 5 vs. 4, winner vs. 3, winner vs. 2, winner vs. 1). The Winner of the final stepladder match is the tournament champion.

Pairs of bowlers bowl three games qualifying moving to a different lane after each game. After the third game, the top 20 teams compete in a single elimination head-to-head baker style match on a random draw. The 10 winners of the first elimination compete against each other in another random draw elimination baker style match. The 5 winners compete on TV in stepladder style single elimination baker matches. The winner of the final stepladder match is the tournament champion.

Teams of bowlers bowl three games qualifying moving to a different lane after each game. After the third game, the top 12 teams compete in a two game (total pin) elimination head-to-head baker style match on a random draw. The 6 winners of the first elimination round compete against each other in another random draw two game baker style match. The 3 winners compete on TV in stepladder style two game baker matches. The winners of the final stepladder match is the tournament champion.

Champion Banner explanation

There are currently (~2009 Season) six types of championship banners.
Blue banners = Up to 9 titles
Gold banners = 10 to 19 titles
Silver banners = 20 to 29 titles
Black banner = More than 29 titles
Red banner = Tournament of Champions winner Green banner = Previous winner of the defunct Hawaii's Richest Bowling Tournament (Year won indicated on banner)

There are currently (~2009 season) three types of stars on championship banners. Blue or silver stars represent a Hawaii TV Bowling title. Color is chosen according to the banner color to make it easier to see. Red stars indicate a now defunct King of the Hill winner.
